The collection of cook books in the kitchen has grown and is now becoming unmanageable. As you can see from the photo the top shelf is bowing under the weight.
Some older books have been removed and stored elsewhere, but we realised some of the cook books have not been opened, or used, since they were stored on the shelves. The reality is we often use recipes we find on the internet and do not consult cook books regularly.
The challenge is to remove some of the cook books and we came up with an idea. One cookbook would be randomly removed and a recipe, also selected at random will be prepared. If the recipe works and the food is edible, preferably enjoyable, the cook book will be kept.
If the recipe is a failure the cook book will be given one more chance before it is removed from the collection, permanently.
