Sunday Lunch.  It means different things to different people.  Growing up it meant lunch with my grandparents, a day we relaxed and caught up with family members.  My mother was calm as she didn’t need to cook a special roast after her very busy week.  Sunday lunch was a healing experience for all of us, as my grandparents always bought take away so my grandmother could also have a break from cooking.

King O’Malley’s, Civic

As our final “Pub of the Month” we chose King O’Malley’s.  As with P. J. O’Reilly’s it was established in Canberra many years ago and has changed over the years.  It is located in City Walk.

For the rest of this month we have the theme: Three Pubs.

Even though Michael’s at Walsh’s has been in the Entertainment Book for a few years we didn’t think of eating there.  We had planned to review a different restaurant but, as circumstances were against us, this was a late substitution.
