Outback Jack’s Civic, ACT. April, 2015.


Arriving at Outback Jack’s we were greeted immediately and given the choice of either booth or table, which is always nice.  We chose the booth and were seated at a clean table and presented the menus.  Drinks were ordered and we had time to peruse the menu and inspect the restaurant. It is clean and well maintained.  The staff are friendly and helpful.  The fake crocodile is amusing and the décor is in keeping with the theme.  However, the music was (slightly/obnoxiously) too loud, depending on whom you ask. and whatever was showing on the monitors was simply visual pollution with no explanation. Outback Jacks is child friendly, with a children’s menu and some games, plus colouring in pages.  The toilets are clean and include a unisex/disabled toilet, which is a welcome consideration. We ordered and were given the garlic bread and cokes.  The garlic bread was pretty standard.  It was hot and garlicy.  The cokes were over-sweet and seemed to be made up from too much syrup and not enough soda water.
